Summary Role Summary - Defect Qualification Engineer Transmission / Distribution In this role, you will be responsible to set up customer eqvt. Environment and reproduce reported issues and scenarios with an objective of quick resolution. The Defect qualification Engineer makes sure various software applications and databases used for a Solution work together without compromising overall information system integrity. To accomplish this the engineer must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with Implementation Services teams including Delivery Managers, Software Factories, Delivery Centers, and with customers. Main job responsibilities: Software applications installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, with and without Dev ops. Software solutions customization. Databases installation and configuration. Systems implementation and performing the acceptance tests ( on site, with the customer ) Integration Testing to identify the issues as solution configuration issue or product defects Qualifications / Requirements Engineer, Master or bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university or college in the area of Computer Science, IT Networking, Electrical, Electronics 2 to 6 years of relevant experience Good technical knowledge and experience is expected in the following domains, ordered by priority: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and/or RHEL 7/8 configuration and administration Software configuration and deployment management Scripting development with any of the following: PowerShell/Perl/Python/batch/bash Relational databases: SQL Server/Oracle Troubleshooting skills Fluent in English Desired experience Windows Services (AD/DNS, LDAP) Source Code Management tool (TFS, GitHub, SVN) DevOps and Agile methodology Other relational databases (PostgreSQL, ) Virtualization (Cloud computing, SaaS, VMware) Having some experience in energy management systems would be an additional advantage: Energy Management Systems (EMS), Distribution Management Systems (DMS) or Market Management Systems (MMS)
