Job Description

• Process tickets through to completion (or escalate to third line service desk analyst as required). Resolve queries to ensure 99.7% uptime on critical systems.
• Undertake analysis of issues across a range of applications to understand and resolve any underlying issues. Receive and process incoming support calls through to completion. Rectify problems and perform routine proactive maintenance even under difficult or high pressure circumstances.
• Support upgrades - understand products, any pre-requisites, deployment methodology to ensure smooth upgrade and optimum user experience. Provide advice on upgrades and enhancements to highlight any potential risks / issues with proposed changes and installations.
• Maintain internal infrastructure including network, workstations, servers, laptops, printers, telephony and video conferencing systems.
• Ensure security of internal infrastructure against intrusion and virus threats.
• Work with IT staff around the world to create and then adhere to global IT standards.
• Partner with Group IT staff globally as required to successfully delivery of IT projects.
• Provide 24 x 7 global IT support capability, including out-of-hours working and on-call.

Qualifications

• Any Graduation
• 7+ Years of experience
• Excellent knowledge of networking and computing terminology and practical usage (including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Active Directory, VLAN\'s).
• Knowledge of, and experience in, configuring and installing complete ethernet networks, including extensive knowledge of switches, firewalls, routers, wireless LAN and VoIP configuration (especially Cisco solutions).
• Commercial experience of supporting all windows platforms, including Server O/S and desktop applications, especially Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 and Windows 10.
• Experience of Active Directory, Citrix, Microsoft Exchange, VMware, Linux, hosting technologies, SaaS, cloud computing, riverbed, exinda.
