About the department

The position is based in the Cloud and Corporate Infrastructure (C&CI) area, part of Global IT Operations (GITO) - a department with 400+ employees distributed across more than 25 countries, managing our Cloud Services, Infrastructure Services, Operations, IT Support, Major Incident Management and Digital Workplace Services. The Cloud and Corporate Infrastructure is an area consisting of 100+ people in 10+ Product teams with highly skilled and dedicated employees. We have a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, and we work in a truly global setup with colleagues located all over the world. In C&CI we are globally responsible for all Novo Nordisk Cloud (Private and Public), and Corporate Infrastructure (Network and Connectivity) Services.

The Position

As a Service Manager II - Cloud Services, you will be responsible for Managing and executing IT activities for the \xe2\x80\x9cGolden Images\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cApplication Hotel\xe2\x80\x9d Cloud products (services) running in AWS and Azure. These products support internal Novo Nordisk customers around the world with running their critical applications in the Cloud. You will be entrusted with the below responsibilities:

  • Responsible for service management of the \xe2\x80\x9cGolden Images\xe2\x80\x9d product which produces the templates used for EC2 deployments in AWS and VM deployments in Azure. This is a high-profile role as it is part of Novo Nordisk\'s critical Cloud IT Infrastructure.
  • Responsible for service management of the \xe2\x80\x9cApplication Hotel\xe2\x80\x9d product which provides a Kubernetes hosting framework in Azure. The DevOps team consist of the best containerization experts in Novo Nordisk, and this product is still in development, so it is a great opportunity to be involved from the start and shape how the solution is going to work.
  • You will be the single point of contact for incidents, issues, changes, and vendor management. This is a big responsibility, but you will be supported by two great teams and you will be able to delegate technical work to the DevOps.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in or equivalent with overall 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or another regulatory field.
  • 5+ years of previous experience in IT service management role.
  • Strong ITIL knowledge, training and experience is preferred.
  • 3+ years of understanding of cloud technologies, security aspects & infrastructure related technologies.
  • Experience in Stakeholder and Vendor Management.
  • Excellent communication skills as the Service Manager must communicate with a wide range of users on different organizational and technical competency levels.
