Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
The role requires global strategic decision making related to the ongoing service development, enhancement and execution of the Copyright for Images and Document Delivery & Information Support (DDIS) services in the Novartis Knowledge Center organization.
Work closely with the technology team and external providers to ensure efficient processes and ongoing service improvements including specification of the applications improvements, coordination of implementation, testing and rollout.
Provide copyright consultancy regarding the use of externally published information resources and support compliance with existing copyright guidelines. Develop copyright FAQs and provide copyright training for Novartis associates in close collaboration with the Legal department.
Key responsibility as client service manager, monitoring the pipeline and reporting of Service Levels agreements, escalating where required, conducting regular customer reviews and reconciliation management. Balance business demand against capacity to deliver current and future service demand.
Lead productivity initiatives within service and continuously drive and monitor improvements in day-to-day work; use of technology in simplifying systems / processes.

Operational and functional oversight of the following teams: DDIS and Copyright for Images. Includes setting strategy and direction and key performance objectives and development support for DDIS and Copyright Services.

Minimum Requirements
What You\xe2\x80\x99ll bring to the role: Essential:
PhD/Masters Degree in Life Sciences and/or Masters of Library Science with relevant scientific background. MBA from reputed institutes and/or advanced Pharmacy degree a plus.
Excellent information science and technology skills and an understanding of fundamental concepts of data, information and knowledge. Experience at a MNC or intercultural / global team environment. Strong communication and presentation skills.
Desirable requirements:
At least 12 years of relevant pharma industry or experience working in information sciences, knowledge management or corporate library operations. Extensive working knowledge in the area of document delivery, copyright, and STM publishing in a corporate environment.
Strong copyright knowledge, ideally with a copyright certification.
