The Sr IT Data Scientist acts as global lead interacting with senior leaders for digital and cloud analytics, ensuring effective implementation of web analytics, data analytics/automation, business intelligence/visualization, augmented intelligence and advanced data science. Drives consolidated tools/platforms, and optimizes capability within these platforms. Develops automated KPI
benchmarking/goal tracking, as well as automated insights that help business and IT focals drive action. Connects all core data and develops advanced data science models to drive personalized experiences for customers that optimize customer journey flow and increases customer conversion and profitability in
real-time. Implement new real-time server-side analytics as the future of web analytics (cookie-less tracking). Helps train technical capability of team members, and analytics use of business focals, while
consulting with business to deliver tools/analytics that empower their operational ability.

  • Web Analytics and Voice of Customer (VOC): Implement Site Tagging with tools like Google Analytics (GA) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) to build out and optimize the customer journey. Adobe Analytics Suite of tools also highly desired, as well as ability to implement server side web reporting (cookie-less tracking). Develop and analyze the voice of our customer with tools like Qualtrics. Implement session replay capability with tools like Microsoft Clarity. Perform A/B tests and site enhancements with tools like Google Optimize. Develop/Enhance Customer Personas used to drive personalization and website path optimization/conversion.

  • Data Analytics: Utilization and familiarity of tools like SQL, R, Python, Data Modeling, Data Warehouse methodologies. Develop ETL processes with tools like Alteryx to automate data flows/storage needed for advanced web processes and visualization. Develop Natural Language Processing (NLP) models to understand/prioritize customer facing and operational opportunities.

  • Data Visualization and Communication: Describe findings or the way techniques work to audiences, both technical and non-technical. Familiar with data visualization tools like d3.js. principles behind visually encoding data and communicating information. Develop programs and data that can be used for data analysis and presentation. Creativity to go beyond current tools to deliver best solution to the problem. Experience using SAP data visualization tools (e.g. Lumira, Analytics Cloud, Design Studio, etc) or Tableau a plus.

  • Augmented Intelligence and Advanced Data Science (AI): Lead design pattern for a human-centered partnership model of people and artificial intelligence (AI) working together to enhance cognitive performance, including learning, decision making and new experiences. Will develop machine learning processes that enhance customer experiences on/off the web, and drive more customers from manual based processes to self-driven web processes. Spearhead statistical analysis, 3rd party data integration, and hypothesis testing using statistical tests, distributions, maximum likelihood estimators, etc. Understanding which are the most appropriate algorithms and approaches to use for statistical models to support a particular approach. Utilization of correlation, multivariate regression and all aspects of massaging data together to look at it from different angles for use in predictive and prescriptive modeling. Experience using SAP Predictive Analytics is a plus.

  • Business Responsibilities: Work closely with colleagues to establish a core measurement program, while identifying data related problems and solve them. Enable the business to make decisions by arming them with quantified insights, in addition to understanding the needs of non-technical colleagues in order to use the data appropriately. Clearly and fluently translate technical findings to a non-technical team. Business domain expertise - identifies the most valid variables and appropriate data sets to build models. Lead business reviews and training sessions with core business and IT stakeholders.

  • Deep-Dive Analytics: Analyzes complex, high-volume, multi-dimensional data from various sources to help develop various types of data-driven products. Data mining and cleansing: ability to deal with imperfections in data in disparate sources. Identify data-related problems and solve them; conduct research and collect data; and ensure high quality data is collected to ensure integrity.

Qualification:
  • 10+ years of global analytics experience within technology industry.
  • 10+ years of analytics experience with high-quality and large-scale services including customer analysis, market segmentation, KPI management, operational management, web analytics, data analytics, visualization, data science and roadmap development.
  • 10+ years of B2B/B2C eCommerce experience at a Fortune 100 company support thousands of concurrent customers and billions in revenue.
  • Experience with end-to-end analytics life-cycle.
  • Experience with analytics feature delivery and prioritization with business focals/senior leaders.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively on shared projects with UX designers, product managers, developers, and support.
  • Strong verbal and written communication to C-level executives and external partners.
  • Ability to lead training sessions with all consumers of analytics.
  • Strong understanding of how to use data to build successful end-to-end customer experience products and services.
  • Ability to lead, drive consensus and deliver in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset using data to collaborate with product team and drive product decisions.

Technical Skills
  • 5+ Years of experience with various web tagging technologies (i.e. Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.)
  • 3+ Years of Voice of Customer (VoC) (i.e. Qualtrics; OpinionLab; Confirmit; etc.)
  • Understanding of how to develop/implement a Voice of Customer Closed Loop Follow Up Operational Process
  • 3+ Years of Session Replay Experience (i.e. Quantum Metric; FullStory; HotJar; Microsoft Clarity; etc.)
