Introduction: This role is for Test Automation Engineer in \xe2\x80\x98 Bereavement and Delegated Authority \xe2\x80\x99 QA team to ensure the automation test suites are continuously expanded and improved. The successful applicant will look for the opportunities to automate the test scope and support in integrating the test suites to build pipeline.

What will you be doing? \xef\x82\xa7 Engagement with Program/Project
\xef\x82\xa7 Overall responsibility for quality and governance and the performance of the systems.
\xef\x82\xa7 Ensure adherence to testing governance and processes
\xef\x82\xa7 Ensuring that no large scale performance problems hit production.
\xef\x82\xa7 Stakeholder management
\xef\x82\xa7 Demonstrate Barclays Guiding principles
\xef\x82\xa7 Effective and proactive planning to execute end to end VPT of a project/programme.
\xef\x82\xa7 Ensure VPT deliverables (VPT Test Strategy, Performance Test Plans, Test Model, Test Closure reports) are of highest quality
\xef\x82\xa7 Define testing strategy with clearly written detailed test approach for each of the in-scope Activities from VPT point of view.
\xef\x82\xa7 Facilitate defect triage so that all appropriate teams including own team participate in speedy resolution
\xef\x82\xa7 Drive collaboration between the VPT, Component Application Development Team , support and business teams to ensure quality of delivery VPT .
\xef\x82\xa7 Provide accurate and timely status reports and project metrics to various levels of stakeholders and as agreed by the project and QA leadership team.
\xef\x82\xa7 Track all testing Risks/Issues/Dependencies/Assumptions from beginning of the project till closure and Highlight before hand to Programme and Project.
\xef\x82\xa7 Escalate any issues to Portfolio Test Lead and Program Manager as appropriate and in timely manner and provide options to resolve the issues from VPT point of View. What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Performance Testing :

\xef\x82\xa7 Experienced in identifying Volume and Performance testing scope through explicit and implicit test requirements.
\xef\x82\xa7 Able to Interface effectively with business and technical stakeholders for requirements and design clarifications
\xef\x82\xa7 Experience in Assessing the VPT Approach based on non-functional requirements(NFRs).
\xef\x82\xa7 Strong skills with Load Runner/HP Performance Center. Also knowledge of Web (HTTP/HTML), Web services, etc. protocols (as applicable) to emulate the application.Extensive experience on Scripting, good at Correlation, Parameterization, Error Handling.
\xef\x82\xa7 Experience in both Client side, Server side, Monitoring and profiling tools using OS resources Perfmon, HP SiteScope, JVisualVm, and NMON
\xef\x82\xa7 Thorough understanding of API Architecture and Impact of Various Component on VPT.
\xef\x82\xa7 Should have Excellent experience in Log Analysis.
\xef\x82\xa7 Should possess strong understanding of E2E VPT and Response time breakup of all Downstream systems.
\xef\x82\xa7 Should have understanding of App Dynamics.
\xef\x82\xa7 Should have good understanding of Databases(Oracle, Mongo DB2 ) and impact of varioud DB concepts on VPT.
\xef\x82\xa7 Should have strong understanding of Test Environment Approach.
\xef\x82\xa7 Should have experience on analyzing the Hardware parameters (CPU, Memory , Network and IO operations) during VPT.
\xef\x82\xa7 Good understanding of Throughput , Response time and defining the thresholds for various VPT Parameters.
\xef\x82\xa7 Should have Knowledge of Service virtualization using CA DevTest.
\xef\x82\xa7 Should have strong understanding of Jenkins.
\xef\x82\xa7 Knowledge of any programming Language like Java, Python or C# will be an added advantage.
\xef\x82\xa7 Knowledge of JMeter will be an added Advantage
