Educational Qualifications:
- Masters (or Bachelors+3) in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering and/or Electronics Engineering and/or Telecommunication and/or Information Technology
- 4+ years
Required:
- Good understanding of software evaluation and automation techniques
- Excellent Python and C programming skills with clear understanding of OOPS concepts and proven experience of validation for low powered and memory constrained systems
- Strong understanding in Sensor and Product/System testing of RTOS products
- Strong experience in developing automation frameworks for embedded environments
- Strong communication skills with ability to to create, collate and present detailed test reports that are both concise and elaborate
- Identify key performance metrics and write the test specifications to meet standards for product release
The role is to validate software components for Qualcomm's range of Connected Smart Systems/ IoT chips. Engineer will be responsible for validating the discrete software components in an MCU platform by using automation test frameworks to deliver reliable test results on timescales agreed with group leader/programme manager. The engineer should be able to work with minimal supervision.
Desired:
- Experience with various sensors and validating sensor algorithms
- Exposure to working on form factor reference designs, debugging tools and use of utilities like logic analyzers, oscilloscope, JTAG interfaces over Lauterbach/J-Link
- Strong experience in creating and maintaining Continuous Integration (CI) systems based on Jenkins
