Main Responsibilities Along with the below listed responsibilities, the employee should conduct any other business related to the function as required by her or his supervisor. Main Responsibilities:
Must have exposure and good relations with domestic Market \xe2\x80\x93 wheat, corn, barley, sorghum & millets and connects with key decision makers
Origination strength \xe2\x80\x93 connect with local traders, brokers, farmers
Marketing strength \xe2\x80\x93 have good customer knowledge \xe2\x80\x93 flours millers, cattle , poultry, starch processors, malt companies, distilleries -
Have a commercial mindset Able to generate PNL and manage book
Should have efficient risk management skills \xe2\x80\x93 ability to under risk management tools, apply hedges and be on top of risk management
Sound understanding of contract management and execution skills
Knowledge of imported Grains used in the market and their price parity with Indian Grains.
Ability to analyze Indian Grains balance sheet and highlight sales business opportunities
Ability to formulate marketing strategy to achieve sales in the region/India.
Ensure performance of contracts and flag any concerns arising out of adverse market moves
Train other marketing staff in office from succession planning standpoint
Understand downstream markets and incorporate the information in trading discussion
Collaborate with other grain team or sales staff to create and position risk management solutions for producers and members.
Managing and expanding relationships in the value chain across the country
Able to work with targets with an attitude to surpass them.
Daily & Weekly Cash Flow management & Reporting.
Understanding of various business strategies, documentation, agreement around the same.
Ensure key control around the transaction and regularly review the same.
Team Management
Manages and leads team members in achieving company/platform goal, motivate and assesses performance.
Provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for training or skill checks.
Develops strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals.
Keep the team motivated and help on their learning and growth.
Assists management and develop talents.
Experiences Additional Information:
Grain marketing specialists can work for large grain companies, smaller elevators and cooperatives, commodity marketers, or agricultural risk management programs.
Minimum years of experience & CTC: 7-8 years
Skills Good listing listening skills - patience to resolve interdepartmental conflicts \xe2\x9c\x93 Strong relationships and network with the main sources and counterparties across the entire Grains value chain across India \xe2\x9c\x93 Understanding of physical processing of Grains \xe2\x9c\x93 Understanding of exports and exposure to international markets is an added advantage \xe2\x9c\x93 Proven Track record with a strong understanding of risk management \xe2\x9c\x93 Growth mindset with prior experience in Trading preferred
Required Languages
English (Basic)
Required Education MBA, Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree, or bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (Master\xe2\x80\x99s is preferred) in agribusiness, marketing, agricultural economics, logistics, or agronomy is required.
