Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior technical program manager to lead our efforts to design and implement network platform services for Azure. You will be responsible for coming up with vision, strategy, roadmap for products and services through research, customer & industry connect. You will use your knowledge of networking and software development to devise solutions that fulfil our customer promises. You will use your leadership and organizational skills to communicate requirements and drive implementation across the many teams.


In this very visible role, you will work with senior leadership across the Azure organization to respond to emerging threats, identify areas of risk, and drive alignment across Microsoft?s organizational boundaries. The scope of responsibilities includes:

• Developing and implementing platform features to modernize azure cloud.
• Connecting with customers and other product teams to identify requirements and opportunities to scale assigned network features across the platform
• Working with organizational leadership to create and maintain strategic alignment
• Engaging with engineering teams across Azure Core to align on dependencies and co-innovation

• Measuring and reporting on the success of the problem space through relevant metrics and KPIs
• Partnering with engineering to deliver impactful and innovative technologies

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

• 
  4+ years of program management experience with overall 10+ years of experience where your primary responsibilities directly involved network and/or driving & developing change in at least cloud platform, enterprise-scale software products and systems
• Deep knowledge of networking and application, host, platform concepts and implementation (e.g. routing, network design, SDN, SDWAN, tunnelling, NAT, encryption, protocols (TLS, SSH?), network monitoring, SNMP)

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor?s degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
• Additionally, having a business degree will be an advantage.
• Ability to concisely frame problems, conceptualize simple solutions, and make decisions based on data and metrics
• The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, make quick decisions and understand the consequences.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills (verbal and written); Ability to clearly communicate business problems and complex technical issues to a broad audience

• Experience building strong working relationships with, collaborating with, and influencing diverse cross-functional and cross-geo teams (engineering, support, marketing, etc.). Drive change without authority across groups
• Experience with data analysis. Including Excel, Power Pivot, Power BI, Kusto (Azure Data Explorer), and SQL
• Sets and holds teams to high-quality deliverables without explicit authority.
• Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming customer needs into an actionable product requirements definition.

• A deep knowledge of regulatory / compliance requirements. (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
• Strong technical background or hands-on experience in software development
• Passionate about helping customers and identifying the solution that delivers the most impact to their business.
• Self-starter that thrives in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with proven track record of delivering on commitments.
• Thrives in team-based work, performs well in high-intensity environments, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done for customers.
