SUMMARY

As a Senior Specialist, you will directly be reporting into Assistant Manager \xe2\x80\x93 US Tax and are responsible to support various activities of Sales & Use Tax and other adhoc deliverables.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sound knowledge on US State and Local Sales & Use Tax Compliance activities (Filing/Returns Prep & Review, Research, etc.), unclaimed property reporting, business licenses, and annual reports.
• Must have working experience in account reconciliations.
• Experience with researching tax issues including but not limited to taxability of transactions, various compliance topics, and tax credit and refund opportunities using various research tools for Sales & Use Tax Accounting, Reporting, etc.
• Carries expertise in developing Standard Operating Procedures & Process Flow Maps.
• Ensure Customer/Vendor/Intracompany SUT questions/queries are resolved.
• Manages & meets deadlines on assigned projects, operational and adhoc activities and serves as a backup.
• Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal and Non-Verbal) and experience in working with virtual teams round the globe, as this position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels & locations in the firm.
• Between 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferred from SUT/Indirect US Tax Domain.
• MBA in Finance (or) M. Com (Taxation) with Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com).
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Applications (Excel, VBA Macros, PowerPoint & Visio).
• Knowledge on Tools like CCH, Vertex, Avalara, Sovos, Alteryx, Coupa, and RIA Checkpoint.
• Assistance with Tax Audits.
• Good to have Direct Tax Compliance experience on Returns Preparing/Reviewing/Filing & Reporting.
