Overview:

We are looking for a highly competent and motivated Indirect Tax professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Indirect Tax laws and processes, with hands-on experience in ERP systems, particularly SAP. This role involves close collaboration with the Finance & Accounts team to implement effective tax planning strategies, ensure statutory compliance, and optimize the organization's indirect tax position.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage GST compliance activities including filing of returns, audits, assessments, and litigation. Ensure accurate documentation, maintenance of registers, timely tax payments, and reporting for all GST-registered locations. Support audits and assessments, and assist in litigation to safeguard the organization's tax positions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on GST implementation and assessments. Compile and analyze data for filing tax returns across various Indian states. Participate in tax technology initiatives as directed by management. Post tax-related journal entries and reconcile GST returns with financial records for corporate reporting. Independently handle audits and liaise with tax authorities. Review contracts and tenders from a tax perspective to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

Strong understanding of Indirect Tax regulations and GST law Familiarity with accounting principles and standards Proficiency in SAP (preferred) Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
