About the Role

Individual contributor responsible for monitoring the application and performing all production support activities and must possess good technical knowledge in Linux and Database and Middleware applications and tools.

Job Responsibilities

• Proactive monitoring of all applications in production environment along with infrastructure management.
• Work on the most complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of many variables.
• Experience in development, support, maintenance and implementation of small to medium non-complex components of a project module.
• Experience in deploying the codes on test servers and testing for any issues and then deploying on live.
• Record and track incident, send out incident communication to stake holders, maintain data hygiene and capture all relevant data on the incident ticket, SLA compliance
• Report production issues/bugs and help in replication of the issues
• Identify gaps in production monitoring and work towards addressing them
• Work to contribute and improve the End User experience.
• Work on automation which can reduce the supportability of the application
• Contribute towards application stability, identify incident patterns, report vulnerability in production environment and also need to work on patching.
• Participate in BCP/DR, patching and upgrades related to application/database servers
• Train new and existing team member on technical and functional aspects
• Ability to manage incident calls and participate on RCA discussions.
• Must have in-depth knowledge in Change, Incident, Vulnerability Management and problem solving skills.
• Solid understanding of Service Level Agreement, awareness of the production environment/application being supported.
• Experience in supporting the Web Based application which Involves following technology JAVA, PL/SQL.
• Experience in writing the programs in Shell script.
• Having good knowledge in SharePoint.

Essential Qualifications

• 8+ years of Unix/Linux & Middleware based applications platform support experience
• 5+ years working experience with RDBMS, like Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL
• 6+ years of experience on middle ware technologies ( Tomcat / Jboss / apache )
• 5+ years of application production support experience with UNIX Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, NDM, F5 system components
• 7+ years of technical troubleshooting experience.
• 2+ years of experience in windows.
• Experience leading the day-to-day technical activities related to maintaining a reliable and effective server environment.
• Demonstrated experience of 7+ years with very large relational databases like Oracle.
• Hands on experience on writing Splunk queries, creating Splunk dashboards, AppDynamics dashboards and health check rules.
• Good Understanding of Infrastructure Service Management Processes (Incident/Change/Problem Management) with hands on experience with PAC2000. Exposure to tools like Remedy and ServiceNow is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge in Incident Management and Change Management processes
• Experience working in an Agile SCRUM team
• Strong understanding of IT Service Management - Incident/Problem Management, Change/Release Management.
• Good to have knowledge in Elastic Search

Support Hours *: 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM

Shift times are subjected to change based on Manger requirement & Day-light savings and org policies/procedure.
