We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Systems Administrator In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for managing daily operational activities and ensuring the CMDB effectively supports the needs of the business
  • Assisting to maintain and adhere to company controls and processes in relation to the CMDB
  • Promote training sessions and workshops for IT Teams and Business Divisions
  • Promote Configuration Management good practice throughout the business
  • Responsible for data governance for asset and inventory management, actively participating and chairing as required within the Inventory Governance Forum.
  • Assist with the production of monthly Key Control Indicator (KCI) reports for Senior Management
  • Review, design and implement processes and procedures to manage the endpoints/assets for many Device Groups and/or Families, to ensure that full asset lifecycle management is in place, with all mandatory attributes populated for each endpoint
  • Work with team colleagues in each Device Group/Family and Inventory owner to uplift the data quality of each endpoint/asset, ensuring the inventories are updated
  • Review/amend of business processes across the inventories of the endpoints/assets to improve data quality and to reduce the lag time between endpoints/assets being added in inventory and federation to the central inventory database
  • Review and standardise data models across all inventories to ensure that data is held and processed correctly, enabling consistent reporting output
  • Work with functional and technical teams, Cyber security team and service/helpdesk team to integrate processes for asset lifecycle management and rogue asset remediation management
  • Align and be familiar with all the business area/domain for all the assets e.g. server, network, storage, telecom, End User devices etc. to understand their asset on-boarding and management process
  • Follow-up with stakeholders for outstanding asset remediation to be in compliance with ITAM controls

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Understanding of/experience in Service Management processes, especially Configuration Management and Hardware Asset Management
  • Knowledge of/experiences in the technologies that support Configuration Management (CMDBs, Auto-discovery, Integrations)
  • Have demonstrated experience in writing SQL queries for data analysis and investigation
  • Have demonstrated experience in VBA along with strong Excel skills
  • Have strong data analytical skills with experience of documenting system processes and data flows; producing clear, succinct documentation
  • Have project management skills including requirements gathering and business analysis to understand AS-IS processes and design new and updated processes
  • have excellent communication skills, be proactive in communicating with stakeholders and escalating to Sr. Management when required
  • have high motivation and self-starter skills and must be able to work without direct supervision and guidance
  • Strong technical knowledge regarding IT infrastructure components including Cloud Platforms and networking technologies
  • Strong influencing skills. Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; high tolerance of ambiguity
  • Experience with risk and compliance management
