Key ResponsibilitiesSite Ownership & Leadership

Act as the

primary administrator for one site

, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems Serve as the

technical escalation point

for Windows and infrastructure-related issues Guide and support other engineers on Windows Administration best practices Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and management for infrastructure planning and issue resolution

Windows Server & Active Directory Administration

Administer and maintain

Windows Server environments

Manage

Active Directory (AD)

, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and user access controls Handle server provisioning, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning Perform root cause analysis for recurring system issues

Virtualization (VMware)

Manage and support

VMware ESXi and vCenter

infrastructure Oversee VM lifecycle management, capacity planning, and performance optimization Ensure stability and availability of virtualized environments

IIS & Application Support

Administer and maintain

IIS web servers

Support hosted applications and troubleshoot IIS-related issues Coordinate with application teams for deployments and performance tuning

Backup & Disaster Recovery

Own backup and recovery operations using

Veeam and/or Veritas

Ensure backup schedules, monitoring, verification, and reporting Perform restoration activities and support disaster recovery drills Maintain backup policies and documentation

Patch Management & Compliance

Manage

WSUS

for server and system patching Ensure timely deployment of security updates and patches Support compliance and audit requirements related to system patching and backups

Office 365 (Basic Administration)

Handle basic

Office 365 administration

, including: User and license management Mailbox administration Basic troubleshooting for Exchange Online, Outlook, and Teams Coordinate with vendors or cloud teams for advanced O365 issues

Monitoring, Documentation & Support

Monitor system health, logs, alerts, and performance metrics Maintain

SOPs, architecture documents, and operational runbooks

Provide

L3-level support

for infrastructure incidents Participate in change management and planned maintenance activities

Required Skills & Expertise

Strong hands-on experience in

Windows Server Administration

Expert knowledge of

Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP

Solid experience with

VMware virtualization

Proven expertise in

Veeam / Veritas backup solutions

Hands-on experience with

WSUS patch management

Basic administration experience in

Office 365

Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

Experience handling

site-level ownership

Exposure to audits, compliance, and ITIL processes Basic understanding of networking concepts Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent experience Preferred certifications (not mandatory): Microsoft Windows Server certifications VMware (VCP) Veeam Certification

Experience Required:

Strong experience with minimum 7-10 years

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹361,728.91 - ₹900,000.00 per year
