The Senior Staff Software Verification and Validation Engineer will be responsible for the creation and execution of software testing procedures for ASP capital and connected systems. The role is accountable for the technical leadership of Automation Framework development. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing and performing automated software tests for complex medical systems. Your Impact Here\'s where you\'ll demonstrate your competencies: Lead, architect, design, develop, document, and support a high-performance Automation framework for ASP products with a heavy focus on quality and delivery. Directly accountable for the technical project deliverables for software/hardware automation developments including strategy, planning, standard methodologies, and accurate documentation. Designs, implements, debugs, and completes system and software level test protocols. Develop software test tools for verification and validation of medical systems. Design, recommend, and implement new tests to improve product robustness and quality. Analyze system and software-level product requirements to develop most effective test strategies. Creates product release documentation, including verification and validation plans and test reports for new software releases. Provides support to multi-functional teams to provide analysis of challenging field issues. Develops data acquisition system to automate testing, data capture and analysis of products. Build and implement a V&V test process that is compatible with our Agile scrum sprints and quality process. Analyze field reports and/or returned products and recommend corrective action for future improvements. Uses existing procedures to analyze test results, document information, abnormalities and provide recommendations on potential sources of software issues. Interface among multiple departments and teams including Quality and Service etc. Identify and recommend opportunities for efficiency improvements in department processes. Mentor other V&V engineers. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level. Performs other duties assigned as needed. Our Needs Here\'s what we\'ll need from you: Bachelor\'s degree in software engineering, Computer Science or related discipline is required. A master\'s degree is preferred. 8+ years of experience with hands-on system-level software validation and testing. 3+ years of experience with hands on architect and implementation of Automation Framework on embedded software products. Expertise in system level integration testing projects and sub-systems is required. Experience in Software Verification and Validation methodologies with expertise in writing test cases, test plans and test reports. Proven knowledge of design, implementation, and deployment of Automation Framework on embedded software products. Knowledge of computing software, operating systems, networking, and IT infrastructure is required. Knowledge of defect management tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla is required. Knowledge of scripting (example Python) or development programming languages is required. Experience as a Scrum master for Agile/Lean software development. Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office suite. Proficiency in Linux is required. Preferred skills and abilities are: Candidate is preferred to have experience working with electronics such as multimeter, functional generator. Proven knowledge and working experience with medical standard IEC 62304 is preferred. Good understanding of computer network protocols is preferred. Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives. Excellent teammate with good analytical, strategic planning, interpersonal and communication skills. Highly motivated, enthusiastic and self-starter. Able to create collaboration across time-zone and regions across on-shore and offshore cross functional teams.
