Your Career

Securing Palo Alto Networks customers is our top priority in a threat landscape that is fluid and always changing. With this position, you will be working as a key member in the company's Product Security Assurance Team in a software engineering role to develop industry-leading and innovative solutions to combat these threats.

The team is looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about software engineering and cybersecurity. You will be hands-on and help lead the development and testing of solutions that provide key security insights and alert customers of developing threats. You will work directly with Palo Alto Networks products and communicate with cross-functional teams including security, product management, and development to achieve this.

Your Impact

• Build, deploy, and test industry-leading solutions for real Information Security problems that are only seen at our scale - Deliver product security assurance solutions to our customers
• Work with exceptional security professionals from across the company and the industry in a highly visible role
• Provide real feedback to product teams to identify feature and security gaps that influence the development of Palo Alto's products themselves

Qualifications

Your Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in general software or automation development with an emphasis on testing and code reliability
• 2+ years of experience working with fullstack web and API development
• Demonstrated experience working with Typescript/Javascript, Node.js, and MongoDB
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud-based datastore technologies (GCP SQL and BigQuery)
• Experience with agile software development and continuous integration/automation
• Experience working with application security, penetration testing, and/or security teams
• Strong development, analytical, and problem-solving skills - ability to work independently
• Ability to collaborate across functional teams including product and security teams
• Effective written and oral communication
• BS or MS Degree in Engineering or Computer Science related to computer security, application security, information security, network security, or cryptography, or equivalent military experience required
