Job Description


We\'re looking for a skilled social media specialist who is passionate about promoting and protecting the brand of one of the world\xe2\x80\x99s most recognisable financial institutions.

The Social Media team, part of the Digital Transformation function, is responsible for paid social media campaigns, organic publishing and monitoring, and social strategy and governance. The Senior Specialist, Social Media will join a global team of social publishers who manage organic social media publishing and monitoring for LSEG.

This role will help to build, manage and support LSEG\xe2\x80\x99s official social media presence, working closely with colleagues across Corporate Affairs and Marketing (CAM) and the wider business. Aligned to EMEA business hours, this role will provide best-in-class social publishing, community management and reporting expertise aligned to LSEG\xe2\x80\x99s social media strategy.

Knowledge & skills

  • Scheduling and publishing to a range of social media channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) using native platforms and third-party tools.
  • Social media governance and guidance/training.
  • Community management, including response processes.
  • Employee advocacy, including managing appropriate tools.
  • Crisis management, including escalation processes.
  • Content best practice across multiple platforms.
  • Social media listening and analysis.
  • Social media metrics, benchmarks and report creation.
  • Understanding of social media, marketing and communications fundamentals, including how social media tactics connect to marketing strategy and commercial objectives.
  • Excellent professional communications skills, including written and spoken English and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Experience working with large, complex organisations with multiple brands/sub-brands.
  • Experience within the B2B, financial sector or regulated industries is preferred.
Key responsibilities
  • Publishing organic content to social media channels as part of a 24-hour content cycle (EMEA hours).
  • Managing stakeholder requests, including providing specific regional EMEA support.
  • Setting KPIs and reporting on results.
  • Monitoring and managing social media comments.
  • Creation of employee guides and best practice.
  • Managing social media tools (becoming team expert).
  • Identifying areas of opportunity within the team, processes and operations.
  • Supporting and contributing to LSEG\xe2\x80\x99s social media governance framework.
  • Contributing to the overall success of the Social Media team through individual effort, peer collaboration and supporting the Manager, Social Publishing and wider Social Media leadership team.
  • Proactive approach to professional learning and development in support of career growth.
