Role Summary/Purpose:
We are looking for a creative, self-motivated, and experienced Senior Specialist, Hub Communications to join our team! In this position, you will own and oversee producing high-quality content that engages our employees and builds brand recognition. As a Senior Specialist, Hub Communications, you will be responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communications strategies and plans that engage, align, and inspire employees with the company\xe2\x80\x99s vision and business strategy, and drive employees\xe2\x80\x99 understanding and engagement on company priorities and key initiatives. This position is also responsible for writing, editing, and publishing content for internal channels. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation and organizational skills.

This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Draft and edit internal and external communications copy (e.g., business emails, press releases, publications, social media posts)
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies
  • Facilitate effective internal communications, assist in maintaining internal and external web content and executing social media strategies
  • Prepare presentations and reports
  • Update databases and media lists
  • Track projects and media exposure
  • Draft messages for Senior Leaders for presentation to employees and external mediums (blogs, emails etc.)
  • Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization
  • Develop, execute, and evaluate a variety of internal communication strategies and tactics designed to educate key stakeholders, including company leaders and employees, and customers through internal and external communication programs
  • Work closely with other functions and employees of other departments to plan and execute communication projects including conceptualizing, writing, editing, vendor management, delivery, and evaluation
  • Create and develop quarterly newsletters
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts and create compelling story ideas
  • Prepare detailed media activity reports
  • Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all marketing materials
  • Supervise projects to guarantee all content is publication-ready
  • Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner
  • Provide administrative support to programs and internal teams
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or relevant field with 0-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 work experience in a similar communications role; OR in lieu of a degree, 2-4 years\xe2\x80\x99 work experience in a similar communications role
  • Proven experience creating targeted content is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques
  • Excellent organizational, planning and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Teams; photo and video-editing software is an asset
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Up to date on industry trends and ability to stay ahead of the curve
  • Must be able to think analytically and strategically
  • Great multitasker and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines

  • Demonstrated experience with all types of social media (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
