Provides industry-leading technologies for timely execution of mission critical processing and secures exchange of data with Clients . Team Description: Global File Transfer Services (GFTS) is comprised of Operations, Engineering, Development & Client Servicing and Migration Development. The group\'s strategy is to enable and continuously perfect the full servicing spectrum related to Managed File Transfer (MFT), encompassing platform engineering, business liaising, development and operational support. Core responsibilities of the group include: - Incident resolution and root cause analysis - Platform/capability design, maintenance and recovery - Provisioning of new MFT setups and changes to existing workload - Platform-level monitoring and health check execution Key Responsibilities: . Expansion of the Enterprise Sterling File Gateway platform into a third datacenter. . Enterprise Sterling File Gateway product upgrade, patching, BAU maintenance, along with capacity and performance tuning planning. . BAU activities to ensure that the File Transfer platforms under management are in a healthy status. .Lead the technical design, development, and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform distributed application systems. . Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes and interfaces with other systems. . Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved by coordinating coding, testing, change implementation and documentation. Qualifications : . 8+ years of domain experience. .Task-oriented, self-driven professional. . Engineering-level knowledge of the managed file transfer product IBM Sterling File Gateway, Linux OS, Scripting (Shell, Python). . Extensive experience with developing and supporting distributed applications. . Extensive knowledge of company\'s total computing environment, including all key IT functions, interdependencies and business impact of futureIT plans. Preferred Qualifications: . Prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies. . Knowledge of monitoring products such as Splunk and IBM Control Center ispreferred. . Designs, implements, integrates, and provides full support for complex software in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment. Researches and recommends the appropriate system software to meet corporate standards and objectives for system performance.Identifies and solves complex and critical systems related issues to meet the objectives for the corporation.Provides input into platform selection, version implementation, software product recommendation, and usage of enhanced functionality.Assists with complex issues in the installation, support, troubleshooting, and repair of data center equipment.Implements, integrates and provides full support for middleware software in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment. Collaborates and consults with application development teams to determine middleware platform selection, efficient transaction design, use and recovery procedures in line with business requirements. Communicates with internal and external system users to address concerns and make sure that technical issues are dealt with appropriately.Manages ticket queues and handles complex escalated issues. Analyzes repeat incident patterns to identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity enhancements. Works with vendors to ensure efficient incident resolution.Contributes to the achievement of area objectivesMODIFIED BASED UPON LOCAL REGULATIONS/REQUIREMENTSBachelor\'s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required advanced degree preferred8 - 10 years of related infrastructure experience required experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
