Job Description

We are seeking for an experienced scientist with a strong background in quantum chemistry and molecular modelling techniques. Candidate with demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to work in international teams is desired. Ideal candidate will also be passionate about exploring and adopting latest digitalization technologies for creating sustainable research portfolio. The position is based in our Navi Mumbai office and will be part of the global team of researchers situated in Europe, Asia and North America specializing in accelerating our research portfolio through innovation using quantum chemistry, machine learning and digitalization. Responsibilities:

• Provide state-of-art ideas and solutions while working in a diverse team of chemists, physicists, data scientists and experimentalists.
• Carry out independent research work in close synergy with global team members, present findings, write scientific reports and papers.
• Lead our research and digitalization activities for Mumbai and global research teams for solving industry relevant problems.
• Actively initiate collaborations with academia and other industrial partners to enhance our research digitalization capabilities.
• Pro-actively connect with digitalization community to advance our digitalization strategy.

• Ph D or equivalent in Quantum/Theoretical / Computational Chemistry or equivalent with more than 5 years\' experience in the relevant field
• Strong expertise in electronic structure calculation and molecular modelling methods.
• Strong programming background in python and experience with structure manipulation libraries and workflow management infrastructures preferred.
• Experience with topics like reaction kinetics, catalysis (homogeneous and heterogeneous), spectroscopy, energy storage materials are desired.
• Experience with data driven materials research and machine learning methods are plus.
