The Role

This position in Systems and Solutions India facility in Chakan Pune.

Mission of Job:

Responsible for managing the entire supply chain process to meet the needs of the local operations including sourcing materials from qualified suppliers at the most competitive price while maintaining the highest quality, efficiency and reliability of the sourced items. Support the procurement process and exhibit the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in the execution of the role and responsibilities. Act as first level escalation to resolve supplier issues.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare RFQs in conjunction with project engineers using purchase specifications where applicable
• Support strategic sourcing activities from India for global supply chain
• Support global sourcing activities as desired
• Lead commercial reviews of supplier quotations and negotiations with suppliers for operational project based purchases. Work with project engineers for the technical approvals
• Create purchase orders in SAP and send to the appropriate supplier as required.
• Be aware of and ensure compliance to all relevant VTBA Procurement policies and procedures.
• Participate in the search, selection and approval of potential new suppliers following the VTBA processes
• Lead supplier development / improvement activities and improve supplier relationship manaement. Regular communication/feedback and face to face supplier business review meetings. Supplier scorecards
• Negotiate and conclude standard supplier agreements including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Equipment Loan Agreements
• Develop and maintain a supplier capability and cost database in partnership with the Senior Sourcing Engineer and Systems Procurement Manager
• Maintain SAP data: a) for existing suppliers, b) set up of new suppliers, c) creation of new items
• Responsible for ensuring the required information is provided \'\'on-time\'\' by suppliers in relation to REACH & RoHS
• Work closely with the local Quality Engineer/Supplier Quality Engineer to resolve supplier quality issues and improve supplier quality performance. Participate in supplier quality audits
• Care and be a driving force for the Company\'s overall performance and image. Be familiar with Atlas Copco\'s \xe2\x80\x9cThe Way We Do Things\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cBusiness Code of Practice\xe2\x80\x9d and apply in daily operations
• Be aware of and follow the local OGSM (Objective, Goals, Strategies & Measures) and the Systems Global Procurement OGSM
• Work in close co-operation with the Systems Procurement Manager
• Engage and interact with other regional Systems Procurement teams, sharing best practice, driving cross regional collaboration
• Provide feedback to the management team raising \'\'Red Flags\'\' where necessary at an early stage
• Maintain the accuracy of purchase order delivery dates and pricing for both inter-company and external suppliers.
• Expedite deliveries from Suppliers as required to support production schedules, planning and requirements.
• Evaluate stocking levels based on historical consumption and sale forecasts to minimize inventory levels.
• Process returns to suppliers for credit, replacement or repair.
• Create new part numbers for new and repeat projects
• Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement and a culture of accountability.
• Support internal and external ISO audits of procurement processes and procedures.
• Support adherence to Supplier contracts and supply and service agreements.
• Review Power BI reports to ensure suppliers are meeting targeted KPI\'s.

What we expect of you?

• University degree or equivalent in technical and/or economics/commercial activity
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management ideally of technical / industrial products
• Technical knowledge and commercial experience around applicable categories including fabrications, motors, Electricals, valves and instrumentation
• Strong negotiation skills, proven application of operational procurement, supplier performance improvement and development
• Experience with an ERP systems - SAP experience is a plus
• Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office365 suite of applications
• Fluent in English language (written, speech, reading)
• Ability to to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications and Bill Of Materials (BOMs)
• Strong negotiation skills
• Must have organizational awareness and ability to work in harmony with other functions to achieve business objectives (team player).
• Ability to travel (locally and internationally). Approximately 50%

• Analytical skills related to overall business strategies and process improvement
• Self-starter able to work with a minimum of supervision.
