We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will:

• Provide technical expertise on the analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of HSBC Payment & Cash Management systems to local, regional and global business units, with quality
• Provide workarounds.
• Maintain close communication with business users, IT teams and coordinate IT related stakeholder activities for change management related activities
• Ensure system complies with group policies and standards
• Investigate and resolve problems arising in connection with IT services
• Support and Maintain the Software Product implementation and infrastructure.

Release deployments and configuration management.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Experience in Design and development of Java applications using frameworks like Spring boot.
• Years of experience as a Full - Stack Java/J2EE Web Developer with diversified exposure in analysis, design, development and implementation of web-based applications.
• Java Technologies: Java 1.8 onwards, REST, Collection, JDBC and Exception Handling.
• Frameworks/Libraries: Spring 3.0, Sprint boot, Junit
• Platforms: Database (Oracle, MySQL), Application Server (WAS).
• Software Development Methodology: Agile Methodology.
• UI Technology: HTML, Angular, JavaScript
• Tools: Eclipse, SOAP UI, SQL Developer, RAD, RTC (Rational Team Concert), GitHub, Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, NexusIQ.
• Extensive knowledge on Java SE including Collection, Threading and Core Java.

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

• Should have basic understanding of the Spring Security and general Security concepts of encryption
• Basic Understanding of Linux commands and SQL.
• Experience using MAVEN Build System.
• Expertise in REST, SOAP web services to integrate between applications to application.
• Experience in API (micro service) design and development
• Experience managing multiple deliveries for mission critical payment systems
• Experience integrating systems using APIs, Files, MQ and Kafka kind of platforms
• Experience of working in Agile methodology.
• Good understanding of DevOps and CICD
