Engineer will be responsible for architecting and driving cross-cutting initiatives to a diverse set of applications built as part of the Cloudera Data Services. Designed specifically for mission-critical environments, the Cloudera Data Services includes a Control Plane, Cloudera Manager, and several Data Experiences, which combine the best of Cloudera\xe2\x80\x99s management and data plane into a one-stop sophisticated data machine to orchestrate and scale workloads.

The Private Cloud Control Plane team is looking for a passionate engineer to join our growing engineering team. The team is responsible for building out the market-leading management and orchestration plane for data at scale; on-prem and in the cloud and is at the heart of Cloudera\xe2\x80\x99s hybrid story. The goal of the team is to make the management of data products simple and develop useful capabilities to interact with the data in amazingly interactive ways for everyday users, operators, and admins. We are building a team of top-notch engineers who are passionate about distributed systems, scalability, test-driven development, and user experience.

As a Senior Software Engineer you will:

Participate in component and product roadmap, scoping discussions with product management.

Be comfortable with multitasking on multiple projects and platforms; on-prem and in the cloud.

Complete ownership of features;

Knowledge about agile/scrum methodologies.

Have good communication and collaboration skills.

Be comfortable in showing off your work; demos, POCs and write documentation for your feature.

Work with QE on reviewing, and writing end-to-end test cases

We\xe2\x80\x99re excited about you if you have

3+ years of industry experience building software in a large-scale production environment.

Understanding of Kubernetes, dockers, and all things microservices.

Strong understanding of distributed systems; REST, APIs, and client-server architecture

B.E. or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer, or Electronics Engineering.

Proven record in driving initiatives from inception to production by collaborating with technical stakeholders from other organizations.

Proficiency with Java.

Redux and TypeScript experience is a plus
