WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Informatica) to join our Data Integration team (DI) . The NRTDI team relies on strong architecture and leadership guidance for Data Integrations and Platfoms. We serve business and engineering teams across Nike, Inc globally to help fuel our digital transformation. This position will be based in the Bangalore 'Nike India Technology Center' (NITCL). This role is part of Global Architecture & PaaS, Global Platforms aggressively innovates solutions to drive growth while creating and implementing tools that help make everything else in the company possible. The candidate needs to have a strong understanding of technical concepts, excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and data analysis, strong verbal and written communication skills, and be self-motivated and operates with a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity. WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON . Admin related responsibilities of connection creation, production migrations, and timely customer response . Take ownership of platform maintenance activities which include (not limited to) OS and Application Patching . Diagnosing and troubleshooting application and infrastructure errors/failures . Analyze and report platform related issues with respective product vendor . Flexible to provide regular on-call technical support (Weekday and Weekends) . Build custom scripts and automations which are deemed necessary for improving security, reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance for our platform . Participate on building self-service capabilities for customer . Create and Update existing Puppet and Terraform code repos as needed . Lead tasks including planning and execution for complex projects and programs . Experience with participating in projects in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment . Exposure to Agile, ideally a strong background with the SAFe methodology . Skill set on any monitoring or observability tool WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH This role is part of the Global Architecture & PaaS and work with Near Real-Time Data Integration team. WHAT YOU BRING . Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or a related field . 4-6 years additional relevant professional experience . Detailed understanding and experience with Informatica products especially PowerCenter 10.2 and greater and IICS . Strong Shell and Python development experience including expertise in REST/JSON APIs . Proficient understanding of code versioning using Git (GitHub) . Good hands-on experience in Linux . Strong debugging skills . Communicating with vendors and customers in a courteous and professional manner with strong critical thinking . Great communication skills . Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Puppet and RunDeck . Hands on experience with Terraform for managing AWS resources . Understanding of AWS technologies including but not limited to EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS Oracle, and tagging . Experience utilizing an array of tools like Kafka, Splunk, NewRelic, Circle CI, Jira, and Puppet . A strong background with cloud based and COTS data and ETL tools like Snowflake, EMR, HDFS, Quoble, Spark, Lenses SQL and Edge Node
