About our Team

Our team is based on Adobe Commerce (Popularly known as Magento 2) which is integrated with our standard up-stream Elsevier sales, customer and product management systems and down-stream order management/ fulfilment engines.

About the Role

As a Software Engineer for B2B eCommerce will work with global, multi-functional, teams to support the strategic development. This new digital channel will eventually support $6+ million of annual revenue from across the world.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for turning prioritized backlog items into released features
• Responsible for providing product and technology expertise when scoping work
• Working individual, solving problems including the design of the program flow of code, effective coding, and unit testing
• Working closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs
• Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components
• Able to bug fixes and resolve technical issues and Keep abreast of new technology development

Requirements

• Have sufficient 5+ years of experience in Magento implementation / customization
• Demonstrable experience of Magento 2 in delivering enterprise scale eCommerce capability
• Experience of Magento\'s B2B functionality.
• Experience in the effective integration of Magento with other up/down-stream business systems
• Ability to resolve complex technical challenges in a platform context. Understanding of Magento\'s capabilities (inc. multiple sites/stores/views)
• Knowledge of Magento Plugins and their effective selection from the Marketplace and/or custom design and implementation
• Understanding of Magento OOTB features
• Ability to implement the custom patch
• Forecast the Impact of version upgrade and planning
• Understanding the complexity of feature / task and forecasting risk
• Knowledge in deployments and creating release notes
