Your Career

The public cloud market has been growing at a rapid rate for the last few years. Enterprise users are accessing corporate applications from anywhere. At times,the application access could be from a non-enterprise device. Some industries are keen on enabling its employee access from his own device (BYOD). There is a growing need for creative engineers to help develop software to prevent cyberthreats within the cloud environment. In this role, you will develop security disciplines to solve real-world problems and critical cybersecurity challenges.

We are looking for an engineer to help build a next generation framework to manage the entire lifecycle of an environment. This includes going from zero cloud infrastructure to fully functional cloud deployment and back to zero if the environment is destroyed. It also includes updates and state management of a deployed system including data stores, application versions, and health validation.

Your Impact

• Automated installation and configuration of services and manage underlying software infrastructure in public cloud environments
• Build deployment pipelines using continuous integration/delivery tools
• Monitor and plan for best performance, reliability, and scalability aspects in the framework
• Manage application security aspects like authentication, authorization, certificate management, PKI etc.
• Adopt & influence DevOps/DevSecOps best practices with other application developers and QA engineers
• Debug and solve complex problems that span multiple services
• Knowledge of Cloud native directives

Qualifications

Your Experience

• 5+ years of solid experience in DevOps or development + DevOps
• Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages like Golang, Python, and Ruby
• Experience building and consuming microservices - RESTful APIs, SOAP APIs, Web Services
• Experience with infrastructure provisioning with Terraform or similar tools
• Proficiency with log monitoring, analytics, and observability using solutions like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana
• Experience developing web applications with JavaScript is a plus
• Experience developing GoLang based applications
• Demonstrated ability to develop advanced CI/CD pipelines (e.g. automated unit testing, performance testing, etc.)
• Experience with gitlab, jenkins, maven, artifactory
• Experience with containerizing applications using docker
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes. Ability to create, maintain, scale, and debug workloads
• Knowledge of json, yaml, tool, xml and similar markups
• Working knowledge with one or more of the public clouds like AWS/GCP/Azure
• Passion for automating & excelling at identifying gaps in the deployment processes
• Linux (ssh, including bash/shell scripting)
• BS/MS/PHD in Computer Science / Software Engineering , or equivalent military experience required

Great to have

• Experience in C++ and/or golang is a big plus
• Experience handling open source projects
• Experience handling huge code bases spanning tens of GBs
