Join our large solutions engineering team The Data Experience Team (DX) owns and operates the Big Data systems. This system collects, processes, and aggregates Akamai network metrics for the purposes of analytics, reporting, and visualization. Over 7PB/day of data is received daily and over 5 trillion records are processed per day. The solution train is the group leading the development of hybrid on-premises cloud Kubernetes infrastructure. Make a difference in your own way As a DevOps engineer on the large solution group, you are responsible for creating common services to accelerate, secure, and automate SDLC processes. This includes working on on-prem and cloud environments and integrating open-source solutions with in-house development. One engages with many systems from connectivity, performance, availability, and security. The role provides an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, and influence company-wide processes and solutions. As a DevOps, you will be responsible for:

• Implementing secure Kubernetes services on multi-cloud vendors. The services include monitoring, logging, scheduling.
• Planning and implementing highly available services, disaster recovery architecture framework
• Implementing GitOps tools and methodology for managing the different products environments deployed to Kubernetes
• Cooperating with our 3rd level engineering support to troubleshoot complex problems that cross team's specialization
• Working in all stages of the software release process in all development and production environments

Do what you love To be successful in this role you will:

• Be proficient working in Linux/Unix environments, demonstrate solid experience in Python and shell scripting
• Have experience in the design and implementation of large-scale CD solutions
• Have experience in setting up large-scale container technology (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.). And also migrating/creating systems on cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS)
• Have background in networking, security, and big data solutions (Hadoop, Cassandra, elastic)
• Be responsible, self-managed, self-motivated, and able to work with little or no supervision
• Have attention to detail and excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills, experience working in a large global company
