ROLE: Senior Software Engineer - Core Java ROLE DESCRIPTION SAP Ariba is the worlds business commerce network. We help companies extend their business commerce processes into the Cloud, where they can use our Procurement solutions and the SAP Ariba Network to find opportunities to cut costs, reduce risk, and grow revenue through better collaboration with trading partners. The SAP Ariba Cloud Platform provides a featurerich, high performance, scalable, rocksolid 99.99 uptime Distributed Computing Platform via SAP Ariba Cloud to allow rapid innovation of applications thereby addressing our customers missioncritical business needs. As a Software Developer your typical day might include Design, develop, test and deploy simple and complex features in SAP Ariba Platform suite of products. Debug complex issues in code and figure out the root cause and provide timely fix. Get hands on experience with emerging trends and technologies in the field of cloud development, including open source products and contribute to the ongoing development of SAP Ariba Platform suite of products. Mentor and assist other engineers in or out of your areas of ownership and expertise. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Java coding skills and expertise in JDBC, JMS and Web Services REST, oDATA with focus on performance and scalability Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure the highest quality of experience for our customers Extremely strong passion for technology and software craftsmanship Expertise with relational and nosql databases like Oracle, Sybase, Hbase, SAP Hana or databases is preferred Experience in performance testing of large scale cloud deployments Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience working in an AgileScrum environment DevOps mindset an inherent sense of ownership through the development and deployment lifecycle Knowledge of lean development infrastructure process including Git, TeamCity, Jenkins etc. and exposure to Continuous Delivery practices Exposure to building large scale application deployed on a public cloud like AWS, AZURE, GCP, etc. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum BS degree in computer science or related field 6+ years of experience in Java and related technologies Strong programming skills, as well as the ability to read and code review complex code bases written by others Ability to work independently and take on ownership of large projects in a very dynamic and adaptive environment SOFT SKILLS Excellent communication skills, verbal as well as written Positive attitude with flexibility and maturity to work in a challenging client environment Ability to drive project responsibilities in a dynamic and proactive manner Ability to showcase three Mahindra RISE Pillars e.g. Accepting No Limits, Driving Positive Change and Alternative Thinking EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Bristlecone is an equal opportunity employer.
