Description - External Purpose and Overview
The responsibility of the mobile Android Developer is to provide technology solutions for projects and daily support. The developer ensures adherence to current standards and maintains a commitment to high quality development and implementations. This individual will provide technology expertise and guidance, remaining current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

o Mobile initiatives (enhancements or project): (not all inclusive)
o The mobile developer will be required to design, develop, test, document, deploy, support and sustain the mobile apps\xe2\x80\x94Android Mobile- interface and libraries.
o Collaborate with UX for product definition and use cases
o Assist with defining technical and functional user stories
o Customer Interaction skills: (not all inclusive)
o Ability to explain technical aspects of a solution to a non-technical audience
o Prepare and communicate status, issues, and opportunities to the business.
o Builds and maintains strong partnership with internal and external customers.
Qualifications Qulaifications

o Strong in depth knowledge in Android SDK, device APIs, Java, Kotlin, Coroutine
o Expertise in integrating with various back-end services
o Expertise in developing custom widgets with flexibility and reusability in mind
o Expertise in Publishing mobile applications to Google app stores
o Expertise in XHTML/HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, JSTL, Ajax & JQuery, JSON
o Expertise with source control: Git
o Good knowledge of HTML5/CSS 3
o Strong understanding of REST APIs
o Expertise in app memory management, multithreading, networking & Security
o Strong mobile UI design and implementation experience, including prototyping
o Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration is a plus
o Test Driven Development (TDD) is a plus
o Experience and passion to work in a fast paced Agile environment, delivering functional features in small time durations
Level of experience
o Minimum 1 year of experience in native mobile application development.

• Must have experience uploading at least 1 app to the Play Store.

o Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
