Purpose Of Role: Working in a 24X7 X365 support environment The role of a Technical WAN Operations Engineer Level 2 is to interpret a customer requests/issues and then transform them into a successful resolution/deployment. A successful resolu tion/dep loyment is one that meets the customer\'s requirements, is delivered on time, and has a positive impact on the business Key Responsibilities: 3-7 years\' experience providing network oper ations suppor t . Have knowledge of Network monitoring, R emote administration, configuration, trouble shooting, deployment, IP Schema, IP Protocol, implementation and support of IP addresses, routing, network filters, and any other applicable operational Configuration parame ters for all mana ged Network devices. Troubleshoot/Diagnose all Level 1/2 issues from the customers and driving satisfactory resolution of the issue s . Knowledge of Networking: OSI Layer, (Spanning tree, vPC, Ether Channel, VLAN, etc.), switching / routing (OSPF, BGP, IPv4/ 6), DNS/DHCP, network virtualization ( VRF ), Firewall Contexts, basics of higher layer protocols: SSL/TLS, HTTP, concepts of NAT, PAT etc . Tro ubleshooti ng of SDWAN and aware ness of Architecture/Design of at least ONE SDWAN Solution, preferably, Cisco . Abil ity to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, includi ng wireless access points, firewall, routers, sw itches, controllers. N eeds to maintain close relatio ns with third parties, vendors, Guide and mentor junior engineers to b e able to monitor progress of reported problems, known caveats, newly available features, software upgrades and hardware products. Thi s to be able to foresee possible conflicts and improvements to operational services. Work closely with clients for New Projects on Technical requirements/break-fix to provide technical solutions/resolutions . P rovide Post Incident Reviews and Root Cause An alysis for Problem tickets. Change Management - Raising Changes and Implementing. Proactive and reactive analysis including remediat ion o f performance issues Track remediation progress or causes for delay Manage vendors and their support SLA. Guide and mentor junior engineers Requirements Qualifications: College degree or equivalent Technical Training. 3-7 years of related work expe rience. Skills/Experience: Must have hands-on experience on protocols such as BGP, OSPF, L3VPN, L2VPN, Multicast, DHCP, DNS, NAT, B FD, Application-aware Routing &; Qo S . E xperience in SDWAN and aware of Architecture/Design of at least ONE SDWAN Solution, preferably, Cisco, Versa, Velocloud SDWA N . Awareness of documentation HLD, LLD . Ability to jump in to support with hands-on configuration when neede d Experience interacting with senior level/executives to communicate a message of network and security trans formation . Good Communication skills . Current Cisco certifications like CCNA Collaboration, CCNP data preferred. Should hav e basic knowledge on ITIL b ased ticketing system.
