Responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, ongoing maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux systems to ensure their stability, integrity, and efficient operation. Key responsibilities include:
- Installing and configuring Linux operating systems and applications.
- Establishing and managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Monitoring system performance and implementing performance tuning.
- Promptly troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues.
- Conducting regular security audits and ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies.
- Testing and verifying backups to ensure data integrity.
- Applying updates, patches, and upgrades to the Linux systems.
- Staying informed about new technologies and best practices in Linux administration.
- Providing technical support to users and resolving Linux system-related issues.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive system documentation.
- Collaborating closely with other IT professionals, such as network administrators and system developers, to ensure the seamless operation of the overall IT infrastructure.
- Having exposure to GitLab and SonarQube setup and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience in setting up and managing Apache and other webservers in a Linux environment.
- Possessing effective communication skills for coordinating with end customers on requirements.
- Demonstrating the ability to react quickly and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and conducting root cause analysis.
- Exhibiting excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Consistently delivering quality work within deadlines, with or without direct supervision.
- Working effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
- Demonstrated experience as a Linux Administrator or in a comparable role.
- Thorough knowledge of Linux operating systems and open-source software.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (such as Bash, Python) for automation purposes.
- Robust problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred certifications include:
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
- CompTIA Linux+
Qualifications
Qualifications- BE, B. Tech, MCA Experience-5+yrs
