Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong expertise in Mobile, Web, and API Automation. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in automation frameworks, object-oriented programming, CI/CD pipelines, and modern testing practices. You will play a key role in designing and scaling automation solutions to ensure high-quality, reliable, and performant applications across platforms.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for mobile (Android & iOS), web, and APIs.
Build and execute mobile automation tests using Appium / WebdriverIO for Android and iOS platforms.
Develop web automation test suites using Playwright.
Implement API automation using Rest Assured or equivalent libraries.
Write clean, maintainable, and reusable automation code following OOP principles.
Integrate automation test suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Perform root cause analysis for defects and improve test coverage continuously.
Ensure best practices in test design, coding standards, and automation stability.
Mentor junior SDETs and contribute to improving overall QA maturity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Automation Skills
5+ years of experience as SDET / Automation Engineer.
Strong foundation in mobile automation for:
Android & iOS (basic to intermediate level)
Hands-on experience with:
Appium or WebdriverIO (Mobile Automation)
Playwright (Web Automation)
REST API Automation using Rest Assured or similar libraries
Programming & Engineering
Strong proficiency in Java or JavaScript (any one mandatory).
Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
Ability to design scalable and reusable automation frameworks.
DevOps & CI/CD
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
Testing Fundamentals
Strong expertise in testing fundamentals, including:
Test design techniques
STLC / SDLC
Functional, Regression, Integration testing
Defect lifecycle and root cause analysis
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Knowledge of Jetpack Compose and Kotlin for Android testing.
Experience with XCUITest using Swift for iOS automation.
Hands-on exposure to Cloud Device Labs:
BrowserStack
LambdaTest
Experience testing microservices-based architectures.
Exposure to BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin).
