Department Overview: Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT)- FinTech group develops and provides technology solutions and support for all in-house Applications and Tools for Risk, Audit, Finance, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. The team is responsible for ensuring any and all the applications and its technology aspects of Finance are performing accurately. In addition, EFT - FinTech provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of in-house applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed. About the Role Acts in a Lead Scrum Master role and is accountable for establishing Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide. Responsible for facilitating the scrum process on self-contained scrum teams with minimal cross-functional impacts. Guides the scrum team(s) and organization to follow generally accepted Agile/Scrum practices and daily activities to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint. Uses empirical data to help the team(s) assess their Scrum Maturity, optimize scrum team velocity to organizational KPIs, and identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance. Proactively removes impediments to team agility and guides the team(s) on methods to escalate when needed to prevent challenges from becoming blockers. Coaches scrum team(s) to deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met. Partners with discipline managers to convey their concerns to scrum teams about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards. Partners with Product Owner to ensure the continuous refinement of backlog, and that sprint goals are understood by the team(s). Facilitates and is accountable for owning the Scrum Agile ceremonies for the scrum team. Partners with Product owners, Program or Project Managers to communicate delivery of work product from the scrum team and escalates key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness. Identifies skills and competencies of scrum team members and suggest adjustments accordingly to promote development and highly effective teams. Key Responsibilities This is Lead scrum master role and involves supporting business scrums and Agile coaching to the team and stakeholders. Lead Scrum Master is responsible to provide Scrum guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and methodology.Candidate will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our existing Agile SDLC and responsible for directing the team towards the Enterprise level objectives on the Agile Transformation. The incumbent should be an experienced scrum master and/or Agile coach who enjoys analyzing data, building and developing scrum teams from the ground up. Work with product owners to identify and mature upcoming business needs and develop technical backlog to answer those needs in a timely manner. End to end ownership of Scrum Events, Artifacts, introducing Product backlog, avoiding Scrum anti-patterns and Agile Estimation. Primary focus is on the work of the Sprint to make the best possible progress toward these goals. The Scrum Team and its stakeholders are open about the work and the challenges. Work closely with Product Owner who is accountable for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the Scrum Team. The Scrum Master is accountable for the Scrum Team\'s effectiveness. Should enable the Scrum Team to improve its practices, within the Scrum framework. Helping the Scrum Team focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done. Causing the removal of impediments to the Scrum Team\'s progress and, ensuring that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the time box. Required Qualifications: Guiding the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization. Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization. Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment. Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving. Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work. Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution. Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information. Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example. Key Skills: Experience is playing the Scrum Master role for at least 8-10 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. (Adjust based on your necessity) Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, FDD, etc. Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games. Applicable knowledge of Jira and JSQL for reporting building. The experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented Agile patterns and techniques (example: various burn down charts, many Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.). Understanding of how to effectively partner/ collaborate with key stakeholders to mature the acceptance of accelerated delivery. Demonstrated reasonable level of technical and business understanding to optimize credibility with teams and managers Proven servant leadership in Agile, Devops and Cloud based programs.
