The Opportunity ... We are searching for an Assistant Scrum Master who will work on one or more infrastructure product teams and will be responsible to provide Agile development team direction, align with partners on roadmaps and requirements for Infrastructure technologies. This position interfaces with various teams involved with deployment and ongoing support of GSK’s overall Tech offering
You will manage activities from eliciting requirements, through to delivery of the solution in partnership with GP&T service teams and local site IT and business groups. You will ensure that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team as well as possible and ensure the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value. You will have daily interaction with UK, US, and Poland at a minimum and with additional countries when required. To be successful you must have strong interpersonal and teamworking skills to drive clarity and foster alignment across the teams. You must be able to perform a varied set of work activities with some individual responsibility or autonomy under limited supervision / guidance. You must have the personal energy and commitment required to put in place the right tools & disciplines which will a significant impact on delivery of Objectives for GP&T and the business units they support. Role Overview: This role supports the Enterprise Hosting (EHS) team which focuses on networks, perimeter access, Identity & access management, Storage solutions, Data Centre management and Cloud migration. Key Responsibilities ...

• Promote and support Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide and help the team understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values.
• Coach the team in self-organization and cross-functionality, helping the team to create high-value products and leading and coaching the organisation in its Scrum adoption.
• Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization and provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in full time Scrum Master role for with 5 - 9.9 years of total experience & at least 4+ relevant years of experience for a team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
• Experience of working in a Scaled Agile Framework (e.g. SAFe 4.5)
• Certified Scrum Master
• Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques.
• Clear communicator.
• Experience of stakeholder management.
• Experience in infrastructure environment.

Preferred Qualification:

• Degree in computer science or related field is desirable although relevant experience is equally valuable.
• Any industry recognised qualification in Agile Portfolio Management, Agile Development, DevOps (SAFe, Agile VFQ, Agile SCRUM, DevOps)
• Project delivery - PRINCE, PMI certification
• Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, etc.
• Value Delivery and Strategic Alignment
• Product Management
• Portfolio Management
