Job Description

:

• Lead and execute R&D projects focused on computational modelling, simulation, and optimization of aluminium smelting processes.
• Technical ideation and scoping of new R&D projects to deliver scientific / technical solutions as well as develop / lead research program.
• Design of measurements/experimental plan related to aluminium manufacturing process & other associated areas for model calibration and validation.
• Detailed planning and execution of projects, as well as technical guidance to team members to facilitate project execution.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies on aluminium manufacturing process, industry trends in process modelling as well as perform process benchmarking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, process engineers, and plant operation team for implementation of design solution.
• Guide and mentor junior scientists and engineers on modelling methodologies and best practices.
• Compilation of research proposals, technical specifications and project reports.
• Publish technical findings in conference and peer-reviewed journals as well as filing of IPR.

Skills

• PhD with 4-7 years of experience or MTech with 8-10 years of experience with specialization in process modelling and simulation.
• Degree from a premier institution / university in Metallurgical / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering with good academic & professional records.
• Demonstrated project work / thesis preferably in multiphysics computational modeling system / process modeling for improving the design and parameters optimization etc.

Qualification
PhD or MTech in Metallurgical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
