Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision:
  • Lead and supervise the front-of-house team, including hosts, servers, and bussers.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure staff performance meets high standards.
  • Conduct regular briefings to communicate daily specials, promotions, and service expectations.
  • Guest Service:
  • Ensure an outstanding dining experience by maintaining a high level of service quality.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and take proactive steps to enhance the dining experience.
  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee table assignments and reservations to optimize seating and service efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering supplies and conducting stock checks.
  • Quality Control:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all service equipment is in excellent working condition.
  • Uphold restaurant policies and procedures, ensuring all staff adhere to standards.
  • Financial Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing daily cash handling procedures, including end-of-day reconciliation.
  • Monitor and control labor costs by scheduling staff efficiently and managing overtime.
  • Support the management team in achieving sales targets and controlling expenses.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and contribute to team development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall restaurant performance.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using restaurant management software and POS systems.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
