WHAT DOES THIS JOB HOLD FOR YOU?

• Implement real-time, high-performance web applications for desktop and mobile
• Architect elegant, maintainable, testable solutions to complex technical problems
• Integrate with third-party platforms and services to pull in auxiliary content, services, and data
• Tackle performance bottlenecks and drive improvements to our frontend infrastructure
• Share software development best practices with the team and mentor junior engineers

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong fundamentals through education in computer science or related fields
• Minimum 3 years of Frontend and/or full-stack experience building optimized UI, scalable, and distributed systems
• Thorough understanding of design patterns, coding practices, micro frontend architecture, asynchronous and event-driven development.
• Strong experience solving enterprise problems and taking projects from concept to production
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Typescript, and front-end languages.
• Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates for single-page applications.
• Ability to work in an Agile /SCRUM environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Experience developing real-time systems with streaming services (such as Kafka) and WebSockets
• Experience working with functional programming languages such as Clojure
• Experience working with ElasticSearch and Kibana
• Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
• Experience with machine learning
• Experience solving problems in the healthcare industry
• Noteworthy open-source contributions
• Understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database
• Understanding of cloud services from providers such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
