Job Description


The Quantity Surveyor manager will be tasked with the responsibility of owning the cost of the project, preparing & analyzing existing budgets for projects, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, preparing various construction plans and packages across different cities, making improvements in existing costing processes, discussing with various contractors and vendors in understanding the current market rates, both material and labor. Quantity Surveyor Manager Responsibilities :- The QS will be responsible for estimating the cost of construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. They will create budgets and track expenses throughout the project, ensuring that costs are kept within the agreed-upon limits. The QS will identify and manage potential risks that could impact the project\'s cost, schedule, or quality. They will implement strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure that the project stays on track The QS will evaluate ways to increase the value of the project without increasing costs. This may include suggesting alternative materials or construction methods that can reduce costs without compromising quality. Ability to read ,analyze both Structural and architectural and give the valid feedback Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity take off and updating the data as the design revisions are made General QS requirements including but not limited by - Rate analysis for various constructional activities with proper knowledge of coefficients used as per industry standards Preparation of BBS Reconciliation of various A-class material Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents. Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies. Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders. Quantity Surveyor Requirements :- Bachelor\'s/Masters degree in Civil Engineering Construction estimating or finance experience is advantageous. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Sound knowledge of construction. Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills. Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
