Our Data and Retrieval team operates within the Data Platform at the intersection of data engineering, infrastructure and efficiency. We a on a mission to make every other engineering team go fast. We build a comprehensive, easy to use Shared Platform APIs underpinning all of our data and products in the business.

About the Role

As a Senior Quality Test Engineer, you\'ll take ownership for delivering high-quality software though planning effective automated and manual testing. Working collaboratively, you\xe2\x80\x99ll help to accomplish on-time and efficient delivery of the high-quality software products being developed. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be a crucial part of the team ensuring quality is embedded throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Working as part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional, agile product development team to Quality Engineering new and existing applications

Overseeing the scope of testing ensuring each feature is tested and carried our effectively using primary automated testing

Collaborating and partnering with developers applying the test pyramid to ensure appropriate automated is test covered

Helping to guide the overall development process in order to improve quality and flow of work

Requirements

Demonstrate extensive experience as a Quality Test Engineer automating tests in Java and RestAssured/Karate.

Be able to illustrate knowledge of operating systems such as XML and JSON

Demonstrate experience of using best testing techniques, test agile methodologies (BDD, Pair Programming) and usage

Be familiar with DevOps tools such as CI/CD and Cloud technologies

Have an understand the importance of gathering useful metrics around performance and load testing

Be a great communicator and team player that enjoys mentoring and sharing knowledge with junior engineers.

Have experience helping teams to achieve common goals
