Job Description

As a purchase manager you will oversees the procurement of goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery while managing vendor relationships and optimizing the supply chain. They develop and implement purchasing strategies, negotiate contracts, and monitor inventory levels. They also play a key role in cost reduction initiatives and risk mitigation. Key Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing purchasing strategies:

Creating plans to optimize costs, maintain quality, and mitigate supply chain risks.

Sourcing and evaluating suppliers:

Identifying, assessing, and selecting reliable vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.

Negotiating contracts and pricing:

Securing favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.

Managing vendor relationships:

Building and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers.

Monitoring inventory levels:

Ensuring adequate stock levels to meet production needs while minimizing storage costs.

Tracking and analyzing purchasing data:

Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) like cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory turnover.

Ensuring compliance with policies and regulations:

Adhering to company procurement policies and relevant legal requirements.

Leading and managing a purchasing team:

Providing guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure efficient operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong negotiation and communication skills:

Effectively communicating with vendors, negotiating contracts, and building strong relationships.

Analytical and problem-solving skills:

Analyzing data, identifying trends, and developing solutions to improve procurement processes.

Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control:

Understanding the principles of procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

Proficiency in relevant software and systems:

Experience with ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Leadership and team management skills:

Ability to lead, motivate, and guide a team of purchasing professionals.

Bachelor's degree in a related field:

Such as supply chain management, business administration, or logistics.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
