The Senior Project Information Specialist acts as the Project Specialist of automation technology for the project, managing the information technology, automation and information/data management requirements for the project team. This position would be expected to complete and supervise basic and high-level processes on a smaller to large project to work within a team or independently. This position could step in for an absent lead or to sub-lead a small to mega project. . Work with the client, project management and senior/subject matter expert (SME) to analyze and develop the work process and identify the desired electronic interaction between the client and Fluor. . Coordinate the automation scope, services, budget, and schedule. . Coordinate design automation kickoff activities and provide overall cross discipline automation coordination. . Identify and coordinate the automation project turnover and close-out activities. . Assist in specifying and planning project requirements for the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) in conjunction with the Project Document Control (PDC) group, and EDMS Project Application Specialist (PAS). . Identify the level of electronic communication (connectivity) and support functions to be provided at the construction site and make recommendations to project management. . Facilitate project close-out activities working with Project Management. . Provide any specialized support for implementation of Fluor Global Reference Software systems or client/joint venture systems as required. . Provide consulting and coordinate the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and distributed execution plans with engineering subcontractors or other Fluor entities. . Assist the timely resolution of any computing/technical issues among the engineering disciplines and project management as well as process, construction, client, and other Fluor entities involved in distributed work activities. . Participate in the definition of project-numbering systems and file-naming conventions that support distributed work activities, data exchange, system integration, and data quality to support contractual deliverables. . Develop the automation section of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Project Procedures Manual (PPM). . Protect Fluor\'s intellectual property, security and confidentiality of information. . Manage the export control (legislative requirements) for software and hardware. . Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines. . Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines. . Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff. . Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards. Basic Job Requirements . Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years if non-degreed. . Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors. . Strong organizational and prioritization skills . Understanding of engineering systems execution, familiarity with the Hexagon SmartPlant Environment (SPE). Preferred Qualifications . Accredited four (4) year degree or two (2) year diploma, or global equivalent, in Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, or Computer Science is preferred. . Five (5) years of experience in leading larger teams or initiatives. . General knowledge around Asset Information Management and Administration. . General knowledge around Digital Twin development.
