You will be working as Senior Project Engineer and will be part of Process Automation business area for Process Industries division based out at Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager. You will be primarily responsible for designing authority for an engineering discipline with medium complexity. Completing assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements Your responsibilities Working in hardware designing engineering, software development, FAT, start-up, commissioning, handover and service of assigned projects in time and also engineer should provide technical service or support to customer Acting as a technical lead, approving designing deliverables and reviewing all project documents for conformity, safety and quality assurance Working with the customer to shape and delivering solutions and seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements. Finalizing \'Fail-Safe Philosophy\' and other key concepts as part of kick-off and designing freeze meetings Participating in project meetings and resolves any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations and assisting in preparing proposal or presentation of engineering projects Designing for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, proto-typing, simulation and calculations. Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines Ensuring that engineering activities completed with required safety regulations and contractual requirements Ensuring bill of material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations and project gross margin requirements by not generating project left-over material (PLOM). Preparing RFQs to meet contractual requirements and providing technical evaluation of suppliers proposals Coordinating with manufacturing and testing functions to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured and tested. Coordinating with commissioning or service functions to ensure the designing are appropriately installed and commissioned Your background Minimum B.Tech / B.E/ Diploma from a reputed university in Electronics and Communication / Electrical and Electronics / Instrumentation engineering Required 10 to 12 years of relevant work experience in automation solutions by similar suppliers in mining, material handling, cement and primary metals industry Knowledge of DCS or PLC HW or SW Components Knowledge of IT/ Network/ Peripherals like UPS, Printer, PC\'s, Server components of DCS system Knowledge in application programming and HMI development/ modifications for PLC or DCS systems Knowledge of below systems is added advantage ABB automation systems like 800xA, freelance, compact products Experience of engineering or commissioning or trouble shooting or servicing automation and drive systems preferably in cement and primary metals applications Good listening and communication skills both internally and with customers and willing to travel extensively More about us Process Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle services across industries.
