You will be working as Senior Project Engineer and will be part of Process Automation business area for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for designing authority for an engineering discipline with medium complexity. Completing assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects, cost effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Your responsibilities Acting as a technical lead and approving design deliverables. Reviewing all project documents for conformity, safety and quality assurance. Anticipating and solving crucial issues and/or unique conditions Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions. Seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements. Finalizing \'Fail-Safe Philosophy\' and other key concepts as a part of Kick-Off and design Freeze meetings Applying Design Thinking / Design for Excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, proto-typing, simulation, and calculations. Contributing and sharing experiences in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs Assessing and addressing technical risks and opportunities. Identifying and implementing variation requests to support contract claims based on the approval from Project Manager Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects in consultation with respective Project Managers and ensuring quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost Coordinating with manufacturing and testing functions to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured/ staged and tested. Preparing RFQs to meet contractual requirements and providing technical evaluation of the supplier\'s proposals Your background Bachelor\'s degree in Technology or Engineering (Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics) Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in project engineering with consulting companies or with engineering departments Skills in project electrical engineering of processes such as Cement Clinkerization, Grinding Units, WHRS, CCPs Good knowledge of Electrical Systems of Process plants from 220kV to 110V AC and 220 / 110V DC. Familiarity with Outdoor Switchyards, Indoor Substations and Electrical Rooms Excellent communication and negotiating skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and address key issues with maximum integrity and professionalism More about us Process Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle services across industries.
