Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Quality Systems:
  • Ensure compliance to manufacturing documentation (policies, requirements, procedures, work instructions)
  • Evaluate documentation accuracy and adequacy - rectify as necessary
  • Ensure manufacturing audits are executed as scheduled
  • Confirm corrective actions are captured and implemented with effective, sustainable solutions (CARs/SCARs)
  • Promote the development & advancement quality culture throughout facility
  • Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities to reduce costs and improve outcomes. Facilitate CI projects from all levels throughout facility.
  • Identify process risks, implement appropriate control points and preventive measures, and execute process audits, to ensure effective process control and evidence of such
  • Own and drive performance to all Quality related financial targets (including NCMR disposition and CoPQ)
  • Develop or refine business metrics to accurately reflect performance and to effectively drive accountability
  • Manufacturing: Lead response on all manufacturing supply chain quality & reliability related issues and non-conformance resolution. Proactively monitor internal product quality metrics to ensure actions are in place to protect the customer.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Closely monitor customer testing process is managed effectively. Collaborate with case managers by providing clear and robust data to accelerate timelines for resolution.
  • Engagement: Interface with design engineering, program management, supplier, etc. to assure product requirements are met effectively and efficiently; assist in the process to select, hire, train, and provide ongoing leadership of quality personnel
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify corrective actions and execute projects to resolve and prevent future occurrences
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce cost, strengthen trust and quality culture within the team, and improve outcomes
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (preferably in engineering)
  • At least 8 years of relevant leadership experience in quality, operations, or engineering, leading cross-functional teams to improve processes/quality/reliability
  • Proven analytical abilities
  • Good presentation skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to balance customer and business needs while driving optimal outcomes
  • Significant locomotive knowledge... manufacturing processes, system interactions, failure modes, etc.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification
  • Demonstrated track record of developing direct reports
  • Significant operations leadership experience across multiple areas of supply chain leadership
  • Bachelor's or Master's level engineering degree from an accredited university
