About the department

Data Systems & Automation, Bangalore Global Development is one of the most competent and diverse team of professionals who are mainly responsible for building the trial database, providing functional and system support to execute clinical trials across Product Development Plan portfolio. The team has strong understanding of Clinical Systems & interfaces with end-to-start mindset on standardisation of data-flow across systems.

The position

As s Senior Process Automation Specialist, an ideal candidate will be responsible for planning of competency development of Data Systems & Automation in Data Management. Assess use cases and internal processes to identify innovation opportunities aligned with DSA strategy. Identifies strength & weakness of business processes and organization especially Data Systems & Automation roles. Responsible for assisting in solving methodological or technical demanding tasks where innovation is a key element. Overall the job requires an independent, innovative, committed and result oriented person. Responsible to identify and implement the best practices within the department as well as to the global team.

  • Responsible to work with Project Clinical Data Programmers from each project area to ensure the alignment across project areas, systems, and standards. Ensure to interpret business strategy as part of DSA Project team and determine innovative solutions supporting strategy implementation. Facilitate implementation of business processes introduced for one (Data Management) transformation. Manage projects for the development of innovative solutions. Lead and direct different cross-functional projects of varied sizes and types concurrently.
  • Responsible for planning of competency development of Data Systems & Automation, Data Management, ensuring the DM vision to implement and offer best-in-class systems and processes that are both efficient and sustainable to the projects in the Novo Nordisk Portfolio. Proactively keep the department informed about internal and external initiatives related to clinical data and processes which could lead to new regulatory demands.
  • Responsible to identify and implement the best practices within the department as well as to the global team. Work and collaborate closely with global DM process & Innovation and RD Quality department to implement and align the process decisions to the department. Responsible for global training and initiatives and implementing change management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement. Facilitate training and development via agile share better practice methodologies to ensure continuous and proactive learning.
  • Responsible for continuously improving way of working in close collaboration with the other departments in DaMaSys and their stakeholders. Liaise with stakeholders on innovative culture and harness knowledge across GBS and DK. Work closely with Internal and External Stakeholders. Promote innovations to support DaMaSys through activities that test, pilot and implement innovative concepts. Instil and embed a passion for innovation; recommend strategies to department head for removing barriers to re-wire creative and innovative thinking solutions across the department. Monitoring and analyzing process and automation performance to identify areas for improvement.
Experience

You are expected to have the below skills and knowledge:
  • M.Sc / B.Sc / Bachelor or Masters in Engineering / Life Science or comparable degree in computer science, Information Technology clinical information management, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning / NLP or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry across various streams
  • In-depth experience in Clinical Data Management Systems concepts.
  • Expert knowledge of computer systems involved in clinical data Management and mandatory experience in programming languages. Requires expert knowledge on AI & ML.
  • Expertise in data trends, predictive analysis, design thinking principles.
  • Sound knowledge with analysis and design of business processes and functional design within the area of drug development.
  • Knowledge of validation of computer systems.
  • Extensive experience with collaboration across professional and regional borders.
  • Experience with communication, presentations & mentoring.
  • Ability to work autonomously, deal with ambiguity and make clear and decisive decisions to effect successful outcomes.
  • Experience with project management and stakeholder management.
  • In-depth knowledge of drug development and guidelines within drug development. Entrepreneurial mindset
