The Cloud and Datacenter Power business unit is looking for an experienced analog designer to join and run our analog team in Colorado Springs, CO, developing our next-generation multiphase buck VR solutions for the datacenter and communications market. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of SoC / ASIC experience defining, implementing, and verifying analog and mixed-signal designs. Analog Devices offers a Flexible Work policy which includes remote work days and alternative schedule options. The Austin, TX and San Jose, CA Analog Device design center locations are possible alternatives to the preferred Colorado Springs design center. Responsibility and Duties include but are not limited to: Lead the design multi-phase buck controller/voltage regulator IC design group to meet stringent specifications for CPU (Intel, AMD, AI Asics ) for the datacenter market Design analog and mixed-signal circuits including accurate voltage and current references, accurate voltage and transconductance amplifiers, switched-capacitor circuits, ADCs (flash, SAR, and sigma-delta), DACs, charge pumps, and LDOs. Create and validate models to evaluate SMPS architectures using SIMPLIS/SIMetrix or equivalent tools and develop IC system and behavioral models to allow top-down design methodologies. Create transistor level design of circuits to meet specifications as well as accurate behavioral models for top-level simulations and top-down design flow methodologies write design documentation. Verify designs using circuit-level, behavioral-level simulations and top-level DMS and AMS verifications Lead projects independently and keep them on schedule Required Skills: BS and 10+ years of relevant IC Design experience or an MS and 8+ years of relevant experience. SoC/ ASIC experience in defining, implementing, and verifying analog and mixed signal designs. The designer must have a working knowledge of integrated circuit design and layout. understand amplifiers, control loops, stability and feedback. knowledge and experience designing power mode switching regulators be able to work independently with limited supervision. Have knowledge of reference circuits In addition, the ideal candidate will also have experience with: Power supply associated standards such as PMBus, Intel VR, AMD SVI. Lab evaluation including automating lab setups ADCs and/or DACs For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
