Job summary
The Bad Actor Disincentives team is responsible for removing the financial incentive for bad actors while accurately and fairly paying millions of third-party sellers. We need a passionate, innovative, organized, and results-oriented Senior Operations Manager for a large risk management team to define the vision and deliver on a strategic roadmap for a pioneering program that improves Amazon's ability to protect customers from fraudulent and abusive activity in our stores.

Key job responsibilities
This position requires a strong blend of process design, program management and people management skills with the ability to conduct in-depth analyses, champion strategic ideas/opportunities to execution, identify strategic opportunities and hire and build a strong risk management team. The position is global in scope and requires a high level of interaction with their teams and stakeholders located in North America, Europe and Asia.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in relevant industries such as law, customer service, investigations, project management, etc.
  • 4-5 years of experience managing a team and experience in managing other the managers.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - able to write, clearly and succinctly including investigation reports and for senior leadership and executive audiences.
  • Strong critical thinker with the vision to work both tactically and strategically.
  • Proven analytical thinking with a natural tendency to use data in decision-making and prioritization.
  • Excellent cross group collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficient using SQL, QuickSight, SharePoint
  • Experience in risk prevention, authentication, identity verification operations.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to define program strategy, delivering independently with limited guidance.
  • Experience with working backwards from business goals or output metrics.
  • High level of integrity and discretion to handle confidential information
  • Strong enthusiasm to provide superb customer service to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions.
