Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN solutions.
Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other networking equipment.
Monitor network performance, perform regular health checks, and proactively address bottlenecks or failures.
Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolutions.
Implement and enforce network security policies, firewalls, and access controls.
Work with ISPs and vendors for link provisioning, upgrades, and issue resolution.
Support VoIP, video conferencing, and other unified communication systems.
Participate in network capacity planning and performance tuning.
Document network configurations, diagrams, and processes.
Provide escalation support to IT helpdesk teams when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
4-5 years of proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of
routing & switching protocols
(OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, HSRP, VRRP, etc.).
Hands-on experience with
Cisco, Juniper, HP, or Arista network devices
.
Experience with
firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco ASA, etc.)
.
Solid understanding of
network security concepts
(NAT, ACLs, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
Familiarity with
cloud networking
(AWS, Azure, or GCP networking services is a plus).
Knowledge of
network monitoring tools
(SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.).
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Certifications (Optional but Advantageous)
