What you’ll be doing...

As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for a wide range of activities that includes ticket management, triage activities, collaboration with advanced teams surrounding the on-going maintenance, and first-level support of Managed Services customer networks (primarily incident support). These activities will include performing the initial troubleshooting and resolution of standard, repetitive to moderately-complex network issues, working with vendors and internal organizations (e.g., IT NOC, Engineering, PMO) on product-wide issues.

• Directly interact with customers on high-visibility and complex technical issues.
• Provides first-level of support by performing the initial incident troubleshooting, management, and triage for Managed Network Services customers.
• Support a complex mix of technologies that create the Managed Services product offerings including Managed WAN (MWAN), Managed LAN (MLAN), Managed Wireless LAN (MWLAN - Aruba and Cisco WLCs and APs), SDWAN (Viptela, Versa, Meraki).
• Provide support for customer circuits, and being involved in troubleshooting circuit-related issues by coordinating with field tech and other core support teams.

Where you’ll be working... In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of OSI layers 1-7, including knowing how to solve moderately complex problems across all networking disciplines.
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN and SDWAN concepts (including wireless LAN).
• Experience supporting enterprise-class routers, switches in a global network environment using common network security practices, standards, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting Aruba and Cisco WLAN Controllers and Access Points.
• Experience and knowledge of network monitoring/management technologies (e.g., AAA, SNMP, FTP, SCP, telnet, SSH, NTP, Netflow, syslog, monitoring applications).
• Willing to work 24*7 rotational shifts and flexible hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
• Strong knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and RIP routing protocols; knowledge of redistribution and high-availability protocols (e.g., HSRP, GLBP, VRRP).
• Strong knowledge of QOS, MQOS, queuing techniques, policing, shaping, marking etc. on Cisco and Juniper platforms.
• Ability to multitask in a high-visibility environment.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of ITIL model and experience working in an ITIL environment.
• Troubleshooting skills utilizing Wireshark packet capture/analysis.
• Ability to manage the internal technical teams during joint collaborations.
• Ability to communicate technical details and concepts.
