Eurofins IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd (EITSI) is a fully owned subsidiary of Eurofins and functions as a Global Software Delivery Center exclusively catering to Eurofins Global IT business needs. The code shipped out of EITSI impacts the global network of Eurofins labs and services.

Position Title: Senior Network Engineer

REPORTING TO: Network Team Lead, Environment Testing Europe

GEOGRAPHICAL REPORTING LOCATION: Spain

WORKING LOCATION: India

OVERALL OBJECTIVES:

As a member of the IT Infrastructure Support Team at Eurofins Environment Testing Europe, you will join a growing international crew to work on the maintenance of recently deployed segregated IT User Zones and Application Availability Groups. Your role will involve supporting daily operational tasks, including designing and implementing new infrastructure or migrating existing network components in line with current standards. You will collaborate with various IT Support and Delivery Teams on a daily basis, which will require networking and network security skills. An open mind and the ability to cooperate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds are essential.

This position will provide you with the opportunity to drive Eurofins\'s major IT infrastructure transition and transformation across the Food, Feed & Environment Testing Europe businesses.

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS:

• Support and maintain current IT User Zones and IT Application Availability Groups network infrastructure.
• Design, plan and implement network IT Infrastructure for transformation / integration / segregation throughout environment testing businesses across Europe. These projects will be aimed to perform installations, configuration, and migrations of enterprise-level network IT infrastructure systems from legacy to the new solutions.
• Propose and deliver solutions that best meet the business needs in terms of security, cost, and bandwidth.
• Work close with Server, Cloud, Application team members do deliver the IT Infrastructure as wider project. Act based on the end-to-end view of the infrastructure.
• Document the solutions delivered.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

An ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of strong experience in the following areas:

• Next Generation Firewalls (FortiGate) - (at least NSE4 level).
• Network infrastructure design and migration experience.
• Hands-on experience in maintaining network components, including upgrades and downgrades.
• Expertise in data centre network management.
• Proficiency in various protocols: TCP/IP, SNMP, SMTP, iBGP, 802.1Q, STP, SSLVPN.
• Familiarity with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and create technical documentation for delivered solutions.
• A collaborative team player who can effectively work with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong presentation skills to communicate technical projects effectively in meetings.

Below skills would provide a significant advantage:

• Familiarity with Next Generation Firewalls (Checkpoint).
• Knowledge of static routing.
• Cisco CCNP-level certification.
• Advanced Fortinet certifications / training (NSE5, NSE7).
• A proven track record of designing and implementing LAN/WAN/SD-WAN network infrastructure during acquisitions, transitions, and enterprise-level delivery.
• Experience with protocols such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, and HTTP.
• Understanding of VOIP (Voice over IP) technologies.
• Proficiency in Quality of Service (QoS) implementation.
• Experience in network monitoring.
• Knowledge of load balancing techniques.
• Previous experience in complex network migrations.
• Expertise in Cloud Networking, particularly in Azure.
